đ MOROCCO ITINERARY :
8 days from Marrakech to Fes via Merzouga Desert
Day 1: Entry into Marrakech
When you arrive, a driver will pick you up from the airport and take you to the riad in the medina.
Day 2: Fully Guided City Tour of Marrakesh
We will organize an extensive guided tour of Marrakesh. The most significant former imperial city in Moroccan history, Marrakesh is close to the foothills of the snow-covered Atlas Mountain. Like other ancient towns, Marrakech is made up of a contemporary city named Gueliz and an ancient fortified city called The Medina. Furthermore, the Jemaa el Fna plaza in Marrakesh, which is one of the busiest in all of Africa and the globe, is home to the largest souk (traditional market) in Morocco. Also, the area is crowded with storytellers, snake charmers, water vendors, dancers, and musicians. The square transforms into a sizable open-air dining area at night.
We will visit the Koutoubia Mosque, which was built in the 12th century under the rule of the Almoravid Empire. We will move through the historic cityâs alleys and tiny alleyways. However, under the reign of Moulay Ismail, the Sultan requested the establishment of the festival of the seven saints.
Day Three: Marrakech, Tizi-n-Tichka, Ait Benhaddou, Ouarzazate, Dades Valley/Gorges
We will meet you at your hotel/riad/bus station and begin our adventure from Marrakech to Dades Gorges. Through the Tizi-n-Tichka Atlas pass, with panoramic mountain views, to Telouet, a typical High Atlas Berber hamlet, and on to Ait Benhaddou, a lovely walled village and UNESCO World Heritage Site (Ksour). Next, weâll stop for lunch at Ait Benhaddou or Ouarzazate before continuing to Dades Valley, where weâll spend the night in a riad/hotel.
Day 4âs itinerary includes Dades Gorges, Tenghir, Todra Gorges, Tinjdad, Erfoud, Rissani, and Merzouga.
The beginning of the Desert oasis of Tafilalet can be felt as we go via Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud. After that, we proceed to Merzouga and spend the night in a riad or hotel close to the dunes.
Day 5: four wheel tour of the Erg Chebbi Desert, Merzouga, camel ride, and desert night
You will begin your exploratory excursion of the region after breakfast at the hotel. You will stop at the âvillage of the blacks,â who were once slaves from Sudan, to discover their music and way of life. The nearby Merzouga Lake is home to a variety of birds, including flamingos. You will saddle your camel in the afternoon and be led by a knowledgeable camel rider as you explore the enigmatic Erg-Chebbi sand sea. Either you will spend your first night here, beneath the stars, or, if youâd choose, in a typical Berber nomad tent.
Sixth day: Merzouga, Rissani, Ziz Valley, and Fes
The finest sunrise of your life may be waiting for you when our camel guide wakes you up early in the morning. Following your excellent photo-taking, you ride camels back to the hotel for breakfast and a shower. Moreover, to Midelt over the Tizi Ntalghamt pass. Youâll take a break for lunch in Zaida ( barbecue with a glass of mint tea ). Before arriving in Fez that night, weâll make a detour to take shots of wild monkeys in the cedar forests of Azrou. At last, you will stay in a hotel or riad
Fez on Day 7 (Sightseeing Tour with a local guide, Fez Medina)
After touring the economic and political capitals of Casablanca and Rabat. Weâre out on another excursion through Fezâs intellectual capital. It was regarded as the western Mecca and the African Athena. This city was formerly the countryâs capital and is one of the countryâs four imperial cities. Fez-Jdid, also known as the New Fes, is the place of the Mellah, the Jewish district, and the Ville Nouvelle. Under French rule, the most recent portion of Fez was built.
